Inez Louise Lowe (1910-1969) was born in Green Turtle Cay, Abaco to William Irvin Lowe and Elizabeth Alice Lowe.

In 1928, she married Carl Adolph Gates (1909-1981) son of John William Gates, Jr. and Rosa Olivia Malone.
