ALBERT LOWE MUSEUM OPENED – Special guest the Hon. Clement T. Maynard, Minister of Tourism, gets a first hand explanation of the craft of model boat building from one of the Bahamas' finest craftsmen Mr. Albert Lowe (second from left) of Green Turtle Cay, Abaco. Some 100 special guests and visitors flooded the cay on Saturday for the opening of the Museum which is the work of internationally-known artist Alton Lowe (far right), son of Mr. Albert Lowe. The museum which houses many of the older Mr. Lowe's model boats traces the history of Abaco from the arrival of the Loyalists from America in the 1780's. At left is Dr. Paul Albury, President of the Bahamas Historical Society, who served as emcee for the opening ceremonies on Saturday. A full page will be devoted by The Tribune tomorrow to New Plymouth's big community day. (Photo: GORDON KNOWLES).
