Anthony is the son of William B. Roberts of Welsh ancestry and Eudora I Curry of Scottish descent. His resourcefulness and industry typify his ancestors who were among the earliest to settle in The Bahamas. Anthony left Green Turtle Cay shortly after school to work in Nassau. In 1957 he married Cynthia Sands and together they had children Craig and Stephanie. He purchased the Roberts Furniture Company in 1967 and has operated it successfully since that time. During recent years Mr. Roberts' business foresight led him to more enterprising endeavours. He built the Centreville, Prince Charles and Village Road Shopping Centres. In 1986, the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce honoured his achievements by presenting him with the Distinguished Citizen Award for Business.
