We officially opened today, and what a joyful milestone it has been. A steady stream of locals and visitors came through to see the progress in our first completed space—The Front Room.

It was especially meaningful to reinstall the beautiful Randy Curry sign and to open the doors to the public once again, just as they had been for more than forty years before Category 5 Hurricane Dorian tore away half the roof, flooded the interior, shattered shutters and windows, and left the building severely damaged.

Although restoration work continues throughout the week in other rooms, we will endeavor to open The Front Room to the public each Saturday.

Our deepest thanks go to the patient donors whose generosity has made this moment possible, including the Ministry of Tourism. We also extend heartfelt appreciation to Alton Lowe, who—despite losing his beloved home on the cay and facing significant health challenges—has supported this rebuild in every way imaginable to ensure that the history of Green Turtle Cay endures.
