A personalized gift for Charles and Di

Prince Charles and Lady Di may be spending their honeymoon in the Mediterranean, but the scene in the painting that Charles is to receive as a wedding present is unmistakably Bahamian.

Bahamian artist Alton Lowe has created a scene of Bahamian nature with its turquoise waters as a wedding gift for the royal couple.

The painting was commissioned by the Bahamian government and will be presented to the royal couple when they visit the Bahamas in the fall.

Lowe, who has had his work exhibited in the United States and Europe, is known for his realistic portrayals of Bahamian life and landscapes.

The artist said he was honored to be chosen to create the painting and hoped it would be appreciated by the royal couple.

The painting is a large canvas showing a beach scene with the ocean, sand, and vegetation. Lowe said he wanted to capture the natural beauty of the Bahamas in the painting.

The artist was inspired by the idea of giving a personalized gift that would remind the royal couple of their visit to the Bahamas.
