William Everett Saunders was born July 4, 1900, on Green Turtle Cay, Abaco to Benjamin James Saunders (1879-1953) and Lenora Mabel Lowe (1878-1950).

William and his mother Mabel moved to Florida about 1911-1912 when her marriage to Ben ended in divorce. In 1913, Mabel married Rudolph Cleveland “Robbie” Beccaise.

On June 9, 1930, in Orlando, Florida, William married Ruthie Mae Kembro (1910-1997) from Alabama.

  • John Cleveland (1936)

  • Raymond Garu (1944)

William was employed by the City of Tampa Water Department for 22 years. He was a member of the New Orleans Baptist Church and the A. W. Windhorst Masonic Lodge.

William Everett Saunders passed away November 18, 1965 (age 65) in Tampa, Florida and is buried in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
