Sixteen months after Hurricane Dorian, the very first museum in The Bahamas is finally making real headway. The cedar‑shingle patching on the main roof is complete, and the building is dry inside once again. Progress takes time—our builders are stretched thin across the island, and wind and rain often slow the work—but every step forward matters.

This week, Audley Russell and his crew hope to finish the small flat‑roof addition on the kitchen, with materials already on site. After that, we move on to the porch posts and railings, followed by the Olde Kitchen roof.
